Hingeflow LLC provides a platform for door and hardware management in commercial construction, available through our website at hingeflow.com (the "Site") and our web and mobile applications (together with the Site, the "Services"). This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we share it, and how you can delete or export your data.

2. Data we collect

• Account info: email, name, password (when you create an account).
• Project data & uploads: project names, addresses, notes, and specification documents (PDFs) you upload.
• Extracted content: text and table data extracted from your uploaded PDFs.
• Technical & usage data: device or browser type, operating system, IP address, app and site usage, crash logs and diagnostic data.

3. Why we collect it

• To provide core features of the Services (process PDFs, store and sync projects, authentication).
• To improve and maintain the Services (analytics, error reporting, performance).
• To respond to support requests and notify you about important updates.
• We may collect and analyze data relating to the provision, use, and performance of the Services, and use such information to maintain and improve the Services. We disclose this information only in aggregate or other de-identified form.

4. Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers needed to run the Site and Services, including:

• Cloud hosting, database, and storage providers — to host the Site and Services and to store your account and project data securely.
• AI and document-processing providers — to parse, extract, and structure text and table data from the hardware schedules and other documents you upload.

These providers are contractually limited to use your data only for the purposes we specify. We may also disclose data when required by law (court orders, legal process) or to protect rights and safety.

5. Cookies & analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Services and understand how they are used:

• Essential cookies — set by our infrastructure providers to authenticate you and keep you signed in.
• Analytics — privacy-friendly usage analytics that help us measure site performance and traffic.

We do not use cookies to track you across other apps or websites for advertising.

6. Security & data retention

• Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest using industry-standard protections.
• Access to production data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis.
• We retain account and project data while your account is active. Log/diagnostic data is retained short-term for troubleshooting.
• If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days except where legal obligations require longer retention (backups may persist briefly).

7. Your choices

• You can view, export (JSON/CSV), update, and delete your projects and account data via the app.

8. Your regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights regarding your personal data. For example, California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to:

10. App store disclosures

Google Play — Data Safety: We collect account info, project data and files, and usage/diagnostic data. Data may be shared with our hosting, storage, and AI/document-processing providers for app functionality and processing.

Apple App Store — App Privacy: Data linked to you: account info, project data, files you upload. Data not linked to you: anonymized usage statistics and crash reports. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
